Pick the tooth up by the crown or part of the enamel – never the root. Rinse the tooth with milk and attempt to place the tooth back in the socket. If this is unsuccessful place the tooth inside your cheek or in a glass of milk. It is paramount that you see a dentist within one hour of a tooth being knocked out if the tooth is to be saved.
